Registration begins in February/March.
It will be done through out Registration and payment platform, TeamLinkt.
The flag season begins after the end of Winter Workouts.
At this point we focus on age-specific teams and practice sessions.
From Middle of April to May 15th …expect approximately 4 to 5 gym or dome sessions running 1 to 1.5 hrs in length.
After the middle of May expect 2 practices a week Monday to Thursday.
Practice nights will be determined by coaches, players and parents. This is to make the schedule flexible and what works best for the players and coaches on that specific team.
We will practice at Stonecrest Elementary School or West Carleton Secondary School.
The National Capital Amateur Football Association ( our league) is a City-Wide league. With that in mind, we can expect to play games in multiple locations from West Carleton to Cumberland. So some travel for games is expected.
Our home field is West Carleton Secondary School
Games are played on Saturdays and you can expect to play double headers. This is determined by NCAFA and is subject to change.
Games will begin the Saturday after May Long Weekend and end the last Saturday of June.
Please plan to play every Saturday during these dates. The total # of games will be 11 -14
Games will be played at home-field WCSS or expect to travel across Ottawa to play various teams.
Yes! Safety is a priority with our club. Injuries, although rare, do happen and parents need to be present in case of this. If you are unable to attend practice or a game with your child you must designate an emergency contact to your coaches and make sure that parent knows they are responsible for your child.
Practice will only be cancelled when weather poses a danger to players. We do not cancel practice because of rain. If the weather poses a threat we will make a call at the practice or the game.
